Day 01: Mumbai Arrival

Welcome to South India Buddhist Tour. After you arrive at the Mumbai International airport you will be received by our representative who will transfer you to the pre booked hotel. Take some rest and freshen up. Later you will get to visit the Gateway of India, Mani Bhawan, Kamla Neheru Park, Hanging garden, explore the famous Haji Aali Dargah, visit Juhu Chowpati beach, Marin drive. Relax in your hotel in the evening. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Mumbai – Aurangabad

Post breakfast check out the hotel and fly to Aurangabad. Aurangabad is known for the 17th-century marble Bibi ka Maqbara shrine, styled on the Taj Mahal. The nearby Shivaji Maharaj Museum, dedicated to the Maratha king Shivaji, displays war weapons and a coin collection. North of the city, the Aurangabad Caves comprise ancient, rock-cut Buddhist shrines. West of the city, battlements surround the medieval Daulatabad Fort. After arriving in Aurangabad check in to the hotel. Explore the city. Have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 03: Aurangabad –Hyderabad / flight

After breakfast Visit Ajanta Cave. The Ajanta Caves in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra state of India are about 29 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments which date from the 2nd century BCE to about 480 or 650 CE. Then visit Ellora, one of the largest rock-cut monastery-temple caves complexes in the world, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Maharashtra, India. The site presents monuments and artwork of Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism from the 600-1000 CE period. After lunch, we will drop you at the Aurangabad airport to take your flight for Hyderabad. After arriving in Hyderabad check in to the hotel, you’re free to relax in the evening. Have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 04: Hyderabad

Hyderabad is the capital of southern India’s Telangana state. Its historic sites include Golconda Fort, a former diamond-trading center that was once the Qutb Shahi dynastic capital. The Charminar, a 16th-century mosque whose 4 arches support towering minarets, is an old city landmark near the long-standing Laad Bazaar. Visit other attentions of the city including Mahabodhi Buddha Vihara,Hussain Sagar lake, Salar Jung Museum, Buddha Statue. After breakfast you will explore these sights. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Hyderabad –Nagarjunakonda

Post breakfast you will proceed to Nagarjunakonda. After reaching Nagarjunakonda check in to the hotel. Later visit Nagarjunakonda Caves/ Museum, Situated at the top of the hill, these caves depict the life of the Buddhist Civilization that existed here centuries ago. From the beautifully carved sculptures, the inscriptions on the cave walls to the life sized statues and relics of Buddha, this cave offers a visual treat for history enthusiasts. Later, visit Dhamma Nagajjuna and other attractions of the city. Have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 06: Nagarjunakonda – Vijayawada

On day sixth, after breakfast proceed to Vijayawada. Check in to the hotel and then you will go to explore the Undavalli Caves. The Undavalli Caves is a monolithic example of Indian rock-cut architecture ,the four storied rock cut caves were used by Buddhist Monks as rest houses.  Then you can visit Bhavani Island and other attractions. Have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 07: Vijayawada- Amaravathi

After breakfast proceed to Amaravathi. After arriving check in at hotel. Visit Amaravathi Mahachaitya, popularly known as the great stupa at Amaravathi. It is a ruined Buddhist monument located at Amaravathi village, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The site is under the protection of the Archaeological Survey of India. Then visit Dhyana Buddha Park, Ruined Amaravati Buddhist Stupas & Remains. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Amaravathi – Rajahmundry

Post breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to Rajahmundry. After reaching Rajahmundry check in to the hotel and take some rest. Have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 09: Rajahmundry – Visakhapatnam

After breakfast proceed to Visakhapatnam. Check in to the hotel. Then visit Thotlakonda Buddhist Complex is situated on a hill near Bheemunipatnam. The hill is about 128 metres above sea level and overlooks the sea. Then you can visit few other attractions of the city. Have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 10: Visakhapatnam -Delhi/Mumbai (Depart)

On the last day of your tour, after breakfast we will drop you at the Visakhapatnam airport to take a flight for Delhi/Mumbai, from here you can take your International flight back home.
